As we reach middle age bone formation will start to slow down and we begin to lose approx. 0.5% – 1% of bone density or degree of bone mineralisation per year. Bone undergoes continuous remodelling with constant resorption (breakdown of bone) and deposition of Calcium into newly deposited bone (bone formation). The balance between bone resorption and deposition changes as people age. In women, this rate can reach up to 2-3% per year for the first 3-15 years following menopause.

Dosage
